Pymadea (PYthon MAil DElivery Agent) is a simple replacement for Procmail written in Python. Configuration files are ordinary Python scripts. Modules from Standard Library are used where possible.

Pymadea is rather a set of useful scripts that are helpful for using Python as a MDA, than a normal, standalone application. If you know and like Python, it might be good -- you do not have to learn configuration file format and you can use Standard Library.

As of version 0.1, implementation is very small and lacks a lot of features, but is usable (I am using it now for sorting mail). The only implemented delivery target is Unix Mailbox. There is a mechanism that minimizes chances to loose mail (when delivering failes or there is a programming error in delivering code).

What's New in This Release:
The implementation is very small and lacks a lot of features, but is usable.
The only implemented delivery target is Unix Mailbox.
