ftpq is an FTP upload queue manager for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. If you live behind a dial-up link to the Internet, and regularly upload files (e.g. for web sites), ftpq allows you to queue the uploads whilst off-line for processing on next connection to the network. ftpq has a Freshmeat section.
ftpq development (by me, at least) is over. I now have an ADSL connection to the Internet, and ftpq serves me no purpose any more. I believe 1.06 is stable enough to stand as a final version of the upload-only codebase. If anyone wants to take on development of the bidirectional codebase, please let me know, but be warned that 1.10 is a bit of a mess…
ftpq 1.06 is now considered stable, after lots of personal use and no negative user reports.ftpq 1.10 is a seething mass of incomplete code and probably quite a few bugs. Only use it if you want to try out the GET, DEL, MKDIR and RMDIR modes.
