RSS-Planet is a custom marker file generator for xplanet which uses RSS feeds from news websites to plot the current headlines on a world map.

By default, Yahoo! News and CNN.com are supported, but other feeds that point to articles with easily-discoverable place names (such as the Washington Post) should work as well.

Requirements:
Python 2.3 or above
xplanet 1.0 or above

What's New in This Release:
This release can generate its output as a Web page with little markers and popup captions in the appropriate locations.
Xplanet or OSXplanet are no longer strictly required, as the background image can optionally be rendered in Python when suitable images, such as earth.jpg and night.jpg from the xplanet distribution, are provided.
