Scriptorium 1.6
Scriptorium is a web-based code library
|
|||||||||||||||||||
Scriptorium is a web-based code library. It's for programmers who need to organize, share, and archive the code they've written, regardless of what language or format that code is in.
For example, let's say you've just written a great function for your latest project that you just know you'll want to reuse in the future. Depending on how much time goes by, you might not remember exactly where the function is, or whether it even exists.
With Scriptorium, you create a personal repository for your code. Everything worth remembering is kept in one place.
Scriptorium is not a source control system, not by any stretch of the imagination. If you're interested in the evolving history of a piece of code and want to track every single little change, you should look at Subversion or CVS.
Using Scriptorium involves copying and pasting your code into a web-based form for storage in a database, or uploading a file for storage on the filesystem. There is no check-in or check-out mechanism.
