lm_sensors provides essential drivers for monitoring the temperatures, voltages, and fans of Linux systems with hardware monitoring devices.
It contains drivers for sensor chips and I2C and SMBus masters, text-based tools for sensor reporting, and a library for sensors access called 'libsensors'.
lm_sensors also contains tools for sensor hardware identification and I2C bus probing.
What's New in This Release:
Support for the SMSC LPC47M192, Abit uGuru, ITE IT8716F and IT8718F, and Winbond W83627EHF chips was added to libsensors and sensors.
The output of the sensors-detect script was made clearer, and detection of about 40 new chips was added.
Many driver cleanups and bugfixes were backported from Linux 2.6.
