DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0.11 DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon is a puzzle adventure game for all ages. This is where Beethro's delvings really got started. Go deep into King Dugan's dungeon, solving puzzles and fighting monsters. The game is easy to learn, but difficult to complete. There are hundreds of rooms to explore and each is a handcrafted challenge. What happened to Beethro on his first excursion into King Dugan's Dungeon? Well, mainly it was just the usual dungeon exterminator's subterranean grind: killing off thousands of roaches, chopping through tar, guzzling mimic potions, and generally ridding the King's underground chambers of all that should not be there. But also Beethro met an unexpected enemy, created lifelong grudges against him, and learned secrets that would later motivate his journey to Rooted Hold. King Dugan's Dungeon has been around in different forms for years. It is the original game that started many DROD players' careers. Now we've upgraded it to make full use of the latest DROD engine. King Dugan's Dungeon now has better graphics, new rooms, new secrets, complete voice acting for Beethro and other characters, and is fully integrated into our online score and progress-tracking system. The old version is still available, but for the best experience, we recommend this version of King Dugan's Dungeon. To give you a sense of what lies in store, this level collection is roughly the same size as Journey to Rooted Hold, with over 350 rooms! The full version of DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon also contains Neil Frederick's excellent hold, The Choice. This is a challenging series of rooms organized such that each room must be completed in one of two ways, depending on an initial decision. What's New in This Release: Now demo recording isn't aborted when rewinding to a move inside the recording session. · Lost drod.ini entries are now set to default values on startup. · Reduced slowness caused by unneeded data saves. · Faster in-game rewinding to a checkpoint save. · Halph pathmapping faster with lots of monsters in the room. · Script commands created, then changed to a Label type, couldn't be made Goto destinations. · Victory demo recording wasn't working after restoring to the start of a clean room. · Slayer's wisp couldn't find player on a tunnel; wisp shouldn't intersect decoy swords. · Goblins now avoid decoy's sword when targetting the decoy. · Now orb associations aren't lost when door tiles are deleted in the room editor. · Scripted sounds wouldn't play repeatedly. · Minor aesthetic and UI fixes. Slash'EM 0.0.7E7F2 Slash'EM is a graphical roguelike game and variant of NetHack. From the land before 3DFX, before VGA graphics and DOOM, before the IBM PC, way back in the dark ages of Unixland, there was a game. They called it Rogue. People played it, and found it good. From this basis, Hack was born. Soon Hack became Nethack, because it was developed by many people (and has nothing to do with hacking the internet). And people played this on many machines, from Unices to Macs to PCs, due to the amazing power of Open Source Code. But the DevTeam, the reclusive masterminds of Nethack, are a rather quiet bunch, gracing the world with new versions as they see fit, and when they see fit. Which is usually a new version every good number of years. And there was much gnashing of teeth. But because of the Freely Available Source Code Phenomenon, people began making their own versions of Nethack to tide themselves between magical releases. SLASH'EM is the (continuing) saga of one such variant... This is the homepage for Warren Cheung's modification and experiment in computer engineering based on the 3.3.1 release of Nethack, combining Tom Proudfoot's SLASH and the Larry Stewart-Zerba's Wizard Patch. From these humble beginnings, a not insignificant number of further changes have been added. What's New in This Release: · A number of minor bugs in 0.0.7E7F1 have been fixed. · Monsters wearing cloaks of invisibility no longer leave invisible corpses. · Improved handling of the colour "black". · Guardian nagas now always spit blinding venom. · Monsters can get drain-life resistrance from deep dragon scale mail. · The raise zombie technique will raise dwarves as dwarf zombies. · Lightsaber engraving now works as intended. · Pets now grow up correctly.
