ExternalTemplateLoader is a Thunderbird extension that loads an external template for new messages.

This extension for Thunderbird gives you the possibility to load an external template for your messages, from a common html page.
You can set a template for each identity e you can choose if you want to load it automatically with every new message or load it by hand.

How use a template: write a html file with the template, then open the compose window, go in Tools --> ExternalTemplateLoader options --> Change settings and pick your file. From here you can also choose if load it automatically or not.
Warning, use always absoulte paths in the template.

How load a template: if you've enabled the automatic loading, you must just click on "New message", otherwise you can go in Tools --> ExternalTemplateLoader options--> Load template.

Other options: in the main window, in the button "New message" is added a dropdown menu where you can always have a blank new message, even if you've enabled the automatic loading of the external template. In the compose window, from Tools --> ExternalTemplateLoader options --> Clear page, you can have a blank page deleting everything (the template but also, WARNING, what you've written!!!).

Features and bugs: at the moment, the extension loads automatically the template only if you compose a new message from the main window, so it doesn't work in reply, forward and with the -compose command.
Maybe in future these features will be available.

Compatibility and localization: the extension is compatible just with Thunderbird 1.5 or higher and has english and italian locales.

Requirements:
Thunderbird 1.5 - 1.5.0.*
