kAnyRemote's goal of this project is to provide IR or Bluetooth remote control bindings on Linux.

This project is just shell scripts which collects DCOP (and some other) bindings which allows you to manage application remotely.

At this moment the following application is supported: amarok, kscd, noatun, xmms, kuickshow,kview, digicam, kaffeine, mplayer (partiallty). Is it possible to write additional plugins which will handle other appication also.

The code is licensed under the GNU Public licence (GPL).

Requirements:
KDE 3.x

What's New in This Release:
Look and feel of GUI of Java Client was redesigned. Now it is possible to change colors and font size.
Choose actions possible not only by numeric key but also by joystick.
Support of lists was added (now anyRemote can be configured to support playlists)
