OrganDesigner project provides a graphical user interface for users of GENPO (GENeral Purpose Organ) to help them create and edit organ files (".org" XML files used to describe the composition and organization of an organ).

OrganDesigner can create a GENPO organ file from a SoundFont file (with user guidance); it can open existing GENPO organ files for editing.

Here are some key features of "OrganDesigner":
Ability to read the names, banks, and program numbers of MIDI "stops" (instruments, programs, presets) from the SoundFount file.
Allows users to name the organ and its divisions. A division is the part of an organ which is (normally) played by one particular keyboard, whether pedal or manual.
Users can move stops to any division or to any location in the stop list for a division, copy stops, and delete stops.
Users can edit stops, changing their names and MIDI banks, programs, and velocities.
Users can add new divisions, modify divisions by changing their names and MIDI channels, delete divisions, and rearrange the order of the division list.
Users can create couplers, modify couplers, and delete couplers. A coupler enables notes played on one division to sound also on the coupled division. Couplers of 16', 8', and 4' pitch are supported.
OrganDesigner can read and write GENPO organ files.
Correct handling of Unicode characters in stop names (Spitzfl?te) and division names (R?cit). (GNOME Character Map and Compose key combinations are two ways to input non-ASCII characters. SCIM does not work with OrganDesigner. Other X input methods probably work.)

What's New in This Release:
Added the capability of creating and setting combinations ("presets" consisting of one or more stops).
