rch is a project designed to make the configuration and the management of the various start scripts much easier.

The starting point was the r2d2 package by Winfried Truemper.

I very liked the idea of configuring the start and stop processing in one text file instead of several file names.

Unfortunately I had some problems with the script and the configuration and I urgently needed a solution.

As I'm more a C programmer than a script guru, I packed the things to do in a small C program and rch was born.

This is a one evening's work, so there may be some bugs. I checked the transition of run levels several times and it seems to work.

Configuration: rch is started from init to handle the starting/stopping of the services. It uses /etc/rc.conf for that where you give commands to do that.
