Resynthesizer is a Gimp plug-in that when given a sample of a texture can synthesize more of that texture.

Resynthesizer can also be used to create tiling patterns, to remove an object from am image by inventing a plausable background, or to apply a theme to an image (for example to make an image look as though it were painted).

This has a surprising number of uses:

Creating more of a texture
(including creation of tileable textures)
Removing objects from images
(great for touching up photos)
Creating themed images
(such as the Resynthesizer logo above)

What's New in This Release:
This version adds a couple of new parameters, neighbourhood size and search thoroughness, that let you trade off speed with quality.
