shuffle randomizes file(s)/stdin, randomly shuffling x inputs to provide n lines of output. If randomizing a file, file contents are replaced.

shuffle package was initially developed to easily facilitate playing media files at random. Examples: ls | shuffle -h 1, shuffle playlist.m3u, etc.

Options:

Usage: shuffle [OPTION]... [FILE]...
shuffle contents of FILE(s), or standard input.

-d, --use-custom-delimiter=CHAR Specify delimiter
-h, --head=LINES Limit output to LINES
-o, --output=OUT_FILE Place ALL output in OUT_FILE
-z, --use-null-delimiter Use null character as delimiter
-?, --help This help message.

When no FILE, input is standard input and default output is standard output.
When FILE, input is FILE and output is FILE
When -o OUT_FILE, *all* output is placed in OUT_FILE. If OUT_FILE is -, ouput is standard output.
