XoL project is a "Live CD" Linux distribution for office and educational use.
No data is written out unless the user really wants to save it.
It offers both KDE and GNOME, OpenOffice.org, and USB storage device support for writing out of data.

An i686 compatible CPU with at least 400MHz.
PS/2 or USB mouse.

VGA graphics card with at least 4MB RAM.
CDROM drive (IDE or SCSI) with at least 24x, recommended 52x. USB-CDROM may work.
Minimum of 128MB RAM, recommended 256MB or more.
