Digital Disco System is a client/server-based audio player for disco purposes as well as at-home usage. It has an console frontend (usable in shell scripts) and an X-fontend in the style of XMMS.

Much code is taken from the X-Multi-Media-System (XMMS), which is Copyright (C) 1998-1999 by Peter Alm, Mikael Alm, Olle Hallnas, Thomas Nilsson and 4Front Technologies.

The code is heavily rewritten, so it's hard to say, which is from the xmms people and which is from me ...
