Duff is a command-line utility for quickly finding duplicates in a given set of files. Duff is written in C and should compile on most modern Unices.

Duff is licensed zlib/libpng, which is similar to the new BSD license.

What's New in This Release:
This is the first release considered sufficiently safe and stable for everyday use.

Several new features have been added, behaviour re links has been sanitised, all known bugs have been fixed, and the documentation has been improved.

It has been tested on more systems than any previous release, and should build on most sane systems.

Added file name reading from stdin.
Added primitive directory loop detection.
Compatibility with more systems.
Added physical mode flag (-p).
Added argument symbolic link flag (-H).
Improved warnings for sample limit flag (-l).
Removed collection of symbolic links to files.
Added reporting of access-protected empty files.
Added example script for hard-linking duplicate files.
Updated and improved manpage.
Fixed a number of bugs.
