Foopanel is a desktop panel that is themable and extensible through plugins.

Foopanel is a powerful desktop panel that enables you to have all that you want just one-click-far. It is extensible through Plugins and fully themeable.

Foopanel differs from the XFCE's panel (and also by the GNOME panel) because: it is written in Python, a great and powerful interpreted language that make it very easy to write plugins: these do not need any particular compilation or installation, they are plain text files that must be placed in the right directory.

Nothing more to do. Its appearence can easily be customized, by using a theme of those available or by writing a custom one.

Requirements:
Python >= 2.3
GTK+ >= 2.6
PyGTK >= 2.6

What's New in This Release:
The One Big Step! Now Foopanel features a quite complete graphical configuration interface.
Plugins can be configured, too.
It can also be installed to the system (no more need to run from the source directory).

Various plugins (Clock, CPULoad, Flexible space, MemInfo, Menu, MusicControl, Pager, QuickTerminal, Separator, VolumeControl) and one theme (SolidBlue) are bundled.
