PySpaceWar is a top down one or two player space game with gravity.

PySpaceWar is an open-source game, loosely inspired by Spacewar, Gravity Wars, and a bit by Star Control (I and II).

Two ships duel in a gravity field. Gravity doesn't affect the ships themselves (which have spanking new anti-gravity devices), but it affects missiles launched by the ships.

You can play against the computer, or two players can play with one keyboard. There is also a Gravity Wars mode, where the two ships do not move, and the players repeatedly specify the direction and velocity of their missiles.

Requirements:
Python 2.3 (or newer)
PyGame 1.6 (or newer)
Psyco is optional, but highly recommended for speeding up the game

What's New in This Release:
Fixed the -f and -d command line options.
Missiles are now larger and brighter than their orbit trail dots.
Alt+Enter now also toggles fullscreen mode.
Make it work in 15 and 16 bit per pixel modes (no aaline).
Added a help screen.
Added an Options menu.
Added a New Game menu (the main menu was becoming too cluttered).
