remake is a modern version of GNU make utility that adds improved error reporting, the ability to trace execution in a comprehensible way, and a debugger.

The debugger lets you set breakpoints on targets, show and set variables, inspect target descriptions, and see the target call stack. If you are interesting in contributing to this project, please contact us.

What's New in This Release:
The "write" (target script) command now adds a "cd directory-name" as a comment.
A couple of configuration-time options were added, some bugfixes were applied, and some gdb commands were added.
GNU emacs debugger support was improved.
GNU Make 3.81 development has been tracked to some extent, although this is not complete.
Changes in this release are reflected in ddd 3.3.12-test5, which should be downloaded at the same location if you use ddd.
