Driverse, a GNU/Linux program, should provide a secure environment to test various kind of competition programs.
Driverse supports normal files or sockets for input/output. Please contact me if you have suggestions or if you find bugs or vulnerabilities.
Driverse creates a "secure" environment to test unsecure competition programs. Those competition programs are supposed to:
- be statically compiled,
- do all the input/output via files (regular or sockets) whose names are known in
advance,
- not fork themselves,
- not be root's or s-uid.
The competition programs run by driverse will retain the privileges of the user that run driverse. Driverse will refuse to run if started by root.
Driverse should work on GNU/Linux (a 2.6+ kernel is recommended). Root rights are needed for ``make''-ing it (Driverse need to be root's and s-uid).
What's New in This Release:
By default, the uid/gid of the test process is chosen uniformly at random between unused uids/gids.
