endnote extension exports browser page to Endnote www.endnote.com from Thomson or compatible RIS citation management tool.

Collects URL, hostname, last modification time and title page and exports to a RIS file. That RIS file can be imported into Endnote, Refworks or similar citation tool.

You can link in the operation system the RIS file with endnote and tell the browser to open RIS files automatically with endnote. So only one click is necessary to export the data. If you got an issue that the citation replaces your browser window then the RIS file is not linked well in the tools/options/content/filetypes screen. See the previews/Screensho section how it should look like.

Version 0.4 also added the ability to create a PDF with pdfcreator silently from the viewed page and add to the EndNote citation record. Unfortunately EndNote 9 does append the PDF link to the URL field and you need to manually move the path info to the pdf field.

If you don't know what the Endnote standalone application or a similar tool is this extension will have no value to you. This extension helps to export browser meta data to an external application.

Requirements:
Firefox 1.5 - 2.0b2 ALL

What's New in This Release:
corrected HTML selection export and HTML export. Both will export now correctly and with linebreaks in place.
Added ability to export the content to a PDF file and attach the link to endnote. nfortunately Endnote 9 does not correctly import it in to the pdf field and appends it to the URL field.
Also added platform checks so that it creates an alert for platforms other then Windows and Mac. V0.4 works only with PDFcreator or with a default pdf printer.
Will add later the ability to select the printer in preferences.
