KWlaninfo provides some information about wlan interfaces.

It's a kicker applet and so you must start it with a right click on a empty space in the kicker panel and then add it. At time it only works proper, if the wlan interface is set to "managed" mode (Access point).

Meanwhile it's tested with many wlan cards and distributions, but some wlan drivers do not set wlan statistics proper and so you get wrong data displayed.

Requirements:
KDE 3.x
Qt 3.1.x


Installation:

tar xzf kwireless-.tgz
cd kwireless
./configure [--prefix="your kde base dir"]
make
make install

What's New in This Release:
Opening info window does not appear in taskbar
Min/Max indicators on bars in info window to see best and worst values of a connection
Tooltip window for each bar shows full bar name and level (usefull if bar text to small or truncated)
