mp3overdog is a multi-user streaming audio system implemented in Perl using Icecast and NET::AIM. Each user of this system can control its individual stream via AOL instant messenger.

There are quite a number of other projects that have implemented a similar control system for icecast. Most are web-based. Few (none?) of them use AIM. If you're already on AIM this system is a fast and simple way to control your music. Users can access their streams from different locations (home, work, other) and share them with other people.
