Placid comes from Phil Loathes ACID and was created as a replacement for CMU's ACID. Acid was too big, too slow, and had too many requirements for me.

So I rewrote almost the entire thing(as well as added a few new features) using Python.

Requirements:
Apache HTTP server
MySQL 4.0 or better
Python 2.2 or better
The correct MySQLdb module for your python/mysql interface.

What's New in This Release:
This release includes several bugfixes and several feature enhancements based on user feedback.
It is also the last revision before a major rewrite.
