VideoLinux is a Linux distribution that focuses on video encoding and conversion.

Out of the box, it provides the tools a professional would need to encode, convert, and edit video in various formats.

VideoLinux also uses Wine to incorporate pre-installed Windows applications.

VideoLinux is a new Distribution I am putting together, it will be focused entirely on DVD Backups, Video Encoding / Transcoding, DVD Authoring, Format Conversion and hopefully pretty much anything else you want to do with Video.

I hope to be adding a Community Forum and a documentation WIKI soon
What I am looking for is Volunteers to help me with this project, ideally have an interest in the subject, I need people to do some graphics particularly a Logo to start with. Anybody with Linux & Wine experience (and not just drinking it)

I have decided on 4 win Apps I will include in the Distro they will be VirtualDubMod 1.5.10. VobBlanker 2.0.1.0. DVD Rebuilder 0.96 Freeware Version.

What's New in This Release:
I am pleased to announce the release of hopefully the last alpha release for testing and feedback. The next release will be a beta release. There are many new packages and upgrades including: upgraded to customised 2.6.15 kernel by ocilent1; customised X.Org server by Thac to provide additional 3D support for many graphics cards; WINE upgraded to 0.9.16; added xDVDShrink 2.6.1; added Cinelerra 2.0.
