Automanic is an vehicular deathmatch game.

Automanic is a vehicular deathmatch game, hopefully becoming the best of Twisted Metal, Interstate '76, the Burnout Games, and Carmageddeon, focussing on cross-country carnage. It uses Crystal Space, CEL, and ODE.

Requirements:
Crystal Space
CEL
ODE

Installing:

This game uses autotools, so steps (commands) for installing are:

1. ./configure LDFLAGS="`$CRYSTAL/cs-config --libs` `$CEL/cel-config --lflags`" CXXFLAGS="`$CRYSTAL/cs-config --cxxflags` `$CEL/cel-config --cflags`"

I do not know how to edit makefiles, so all that extra stuff is needed. Could someone please help me fix this!

Playing:

When you start, you will be suspended in mid-air for a short time, then dropped onto the map. The controls are:

w or up: accelerate.
s or down: brake.
a or left: steer left.
d or right: steer right.
Left click: shoot Nova.
Right Click: shoot Railgun.
r: reset car to middle of map.
escape: quit

Notes:

- This game is only version 0.01, so all you can do at the moment is drive around and battle with the two (stupid) bots. It is fun, though.
- If the bots fall off the map, after a while the game will crash.
- The game segfaults when you quit, leaving a large core dump behind. Don't forget to delete the core dumps! Sorry.
