The bILDA project consists of a specialized open source D/A converter hardware and control software, which make it possible to control laser projectors from Linux.
Full hardware plans are provided. On the software side the device firmware and a Linux kernel module are available.
A small application to play laser show animations in *.ild file format is also included.
bilda can output up tp 50.000 points per second with constant timing. The resolution of the X- and Y- channels is 8 Bit, also that of the three color channel.
The analog output signals conform to to the Standard Projector specification of the International Laser Display Association.
This makes bilda compatible with a wide range of laser projectors.
Installation
Download the bilda software, extract it and change into the directory:
> tar -xzvf bilda-X.Y.tar.gz
> cd bilda-X.Y
Configure the package
> ./configure
Build it
> make

# su (enter root password)
