ego file manager is a GTK+2 file manager that uses libferris for its VFS and provides evas2, GTK tree, and optional Mozilla browser views.

An advanced search sidepanel was added with a special minibuffer mode that allows emblem disambiguation, nearness geospatial searching, and completion suggestions.
Search limits are now supported and the total number of matches for a search can be calculated in the background.
Integration with Google Earth is supported.
The directory monitoring code was cleaned up.
C-s minibuffer mode was improved.
Filter/Select sidepanels arrange EA in a more intuitive manner.
Numerous HCI improvements were made.
