ExifTagger project is a perl gtk2 app that provides a convenient graphical interface to tagging images.
Unlike most other tools, this inserts the tag information into the images as Exif, so they will permanently be part of the digital image. The interface is pretty intuitive, though more information will come with time.
It works enough for me to post source, though clearly is at a very early alpha, so use at your own risk. If you find a bug, please email me at sean at dague dot net, and I'll see what I can do.
What's New in This Release:
ExifTagger now has user preferences for image scaling algorithm and jump size.
ExifTagger resumes to the last photo visited.
A manual was added, accessible through the GUI.
Images are now shown in correct orientation in the main window if the EXIF Orientation tags are set.
UTF8 for fields is now supported.
Numerous other bugs were fixed.
