Getleft 1.2a3 review
DownloadGiven a URL, Getleft will try to download all links
|
|
Given a URL, Getleft will try to download all links. As it goes, it modifies the original HTML pages so that the absolute links get changed to relative links, and links to active pages get changed to the resulting pages. Getleft project supports thirteen different languages.
Here are some key features of "Getleft":
While it goes, it changes the original pages, all the links get changed to relative links, so that you can surf the site in your hard disk without those pesky absolute links.
Limited Ftp support, it will download the files but not recursively.
Resumes downloading if interrupted.
Filters not to download certain kind of files.
You can get a site map before downloading.
Getleft can follow links to external sites.
Multilingual support, at present Getleft supports Dutch, English, Esperanto, German, French, Italian, Polish, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Spanish.
If you would like Getleft to support your own language, please check this.
Some others not worth mentioning.
What's New in This Release:
Enhancement: In the context menu of the main window there are now two options to change the url and directory.
Enhancement: A KDE skin, it is not perfect, it doesn't include the menus or the spinboxes, but it is nice nonetheless.
Many thanks to Georgios Petasis, for creating TileQt.
Bug fix: If you had an Url selected in the main window and pressed Return in order to download it, the result was somewhat unpredictable.
Bug fix: If you copied a url into the selection and then invoked the 'Enter Url' dialog, the url wouldn't be in the combobox.
Bug fix: You may have got an error during start up in Windows about not being able to find some icons.
Bug fix: If you use a multi button mouse with your Mac, the context menu would come out with the middle button instead of the right one.
Updated the Csaba Nemethi's tablelist widget to version 4.5.
