Interact project is an online learning and collaboration platform.
Interact is an online learning and collaboration platform that was developed by the Christchurch College of Education.
It is a free alternative to the likes of WebCT and Blackboard, and was designed with the intention of making it easy for students and lecturers to interact online, and focuses on constructivist and Vygotskian views of teaching and learning.
Development Release for testing only - not recommended for live servers.
What's New in This Release:
Inclusion of dojo javascript framework which will enable us to add an increasing amount of ajax functionality to interface.
Replacement of the htmlarea in-built editor with the dojo editor. This is not quite completed in the beta, but has some major advantages like resizing to fit the content so you don't have to edit in a small box. It also has more reliable table editing.
A new feedreader component that allows you to pull rss feeds into your space.
RSS feed option on journal, and modifed audio player to allow podcasting from journal component.
New block area on right of space homepage for adding components.
Bottom centre block, and new right block now display full content of any Note components added there, which enables you to include data from external sites like frappr, etc.
Ability to add a welcome message to a Space which will be showed to users the first time they enter a space.
Improved quiz question input pages, now with separate inputs for true/false and multichoice. Now also has a long answer option that can be manually marked.
