A provider for the JCE and JCA, a clean-room implementation of the JCE 1.2.1, generators for Version 1 and Version 3 X.509 certificates, generators for Version 2 X.509 attribute certificates, PKCS12 support, and APIs for dealing with S/MIME, CMS, OCSP, TSP, and OpenPGP. This release removes vulnerabilities to some forms of the recent forgery attack that has been described against specific implementations of the RSA signature algorithm using a public exponent of the value 3.
In addition to the above, this release also adds use of the SHA2 family to ECDSA for signatures and certificate generation.
The range of KDF functions has been increased and an endianness issue with KDF2 has been fixed. Uses of toUpperCase in the library are now locale independent and several bugs have also been fixed in the OpenPGP and SMIME libraries.
