lxbios is a utility for reading/writing LinuxBIOS parameters and displaying information from the LinuxBIOS table. Lxbios project works only on x86-based Linux systems that use LinuxBIOS. For more information about LinuxBIOS.

The LinuxBIOS table resides in low physical memory. It is created at boot time by LinuxBIOS and contains various system information such as the type of mainboard in use.

It specifies locations in the CMOS (nonvolatile RAM) where the LinuxBIOS parameters are stored. The kernel preserves this table so that its contents remain available after the system has finished booting.

Here are some key features of "Lxbios":
Read or write LinuxBIOS parameters.
List all possible values for a given LinuxBIOS parameter.
Read or write the LinuxBIOS CMOS checksum.
Display information stored in the LinuxBIOS table, including information regarding system memory, the type of mainboard, and build-related information (compile time, compiler version, etc.) for the currently installed LinuxBIOS.
Display a low-level hex dump of information contained in the LinuxBIOS table.

What's New in This Release:
Postpones most sanity checking of CMOS layout information until right before a CMOS read or write operation is attempted.
Fixes CMOS memory access above 128 bytes.
Fixes hexdump output.
