man2texi is a UNIX manual page to Texinfo format converter.
This package is available in several functionally-equivalent distribution formats with identical contents: .jar (Java archive), .tar.bz2 (bzip2'ed UNIX tar archive), .tar.gz (gzipped UNIX tar archive), .zip (InfoZip), and .zoo (zoo), together with companion contents listings ending in -lst.
Each unpacks into a subdirectory named by the basename of the distribution file, e.g., man2texi-0.00.
To build, validate, and install this package, the usual GNU incantation suffices on any UNIX or POSIX platform:
./configure && make all check install
To change the default installation directory:
./configure --prefix=/path/of/your/choice && make all check install
The GNU standard value of the prefix is /usr/local.
Because the installed package is slightly different from that used for testing with "make check", after "make install", you can do "make check-installed" to rerun the tests with the installed package.
