Nicq, like the name suggests (NewICQ), is a new ICQ client for linux. But this ain't a clone of the Mirabilis client, it's a totally new interface and new way of using the ICQ IM protocol.

Welcome to the New ICQ client. The interface has changed since last bersion, but I think it's for the best. Anyway, you'll see by yourself. I've decided to combine the way irc clients work with the ICQ protocol. Hope you like it.

Until I write a graphical window to change the plugin options, you'll have o go in the ~/.licq/nicq_gui.conf file to modify options. When you install a new version and if that new version has new options, you should backup your options file and then delete it. Or you can manually add the options that are missing.

What's New in This Release:
Changed the headers options: there are now a lot more configurable.
Changed the location of the nicq_gui.conf file. It now resides into: ~/.nicq/ . Make sure to create that directory as indicated in the INSTALL File.
Fixed some bugs;
