suPHP is a combination of an Apache module (mod_suphp) and an executable which provides a wrapper for PHP.
With both together, it is possible to execute PHP scripts with the permissions of their owner without having to place a PHP binary in each user's cgi-bin directory.
suPHP doesn't need Apache's suExec, and provides a logging function.
Requirements:
Apache (1.3 branch)
Apache (Stable branch)
PHP (Version 4 branch)
What's New in This Release:
This release focuses on important bugfixes.
Processes should no longer hang when writing a lot of data to stderr, and memory management problems with certain compiler versions have been fixed.
mod_suphp is compatible with Apache 2.2 now and can be used in environments where mod_userdir is used.
