symox (set your mouse on X) is a command line tool that automatically sets your mouse pointer to the given position if the mouse pointer isn't moving. It can be useful in an X11 startup script like your ~/.xsession.

Usage

./symox [-iH] [-h height] [-w weight] [-d delay] &

for help type:

./symox -H

by default x and y are 0 and delay is set to 3.

with the -i option symox behaves like KDE's konsole
or xine. it hides the Xcursor.

Requirements:
if you have a rpm or apt based distro you may need the X development files. for rpm XFree86-devel and for apt xlibs-dev. And of course ... X itself ;)
