Trip on the Funny Boat is a side scrolling shooter game starring a steamboat on the sea.

Trip on the Funny Boat is side scrolling arcade shooter game on a steamboat equipped with a cannon and the ability to jump. The player will need to take advantage of waves to defeat the enemies and dodge hazards.

This game was made for the second PyWeek competition during the week from 25.3.2006 to 2.4.2006.

Anti-aliased water and rotable objects (configurable in options)
Faint smoke trails after cannonballs
Cannonball splashes
Fire-smoke puff when shooting
Some realistic physics when hitting sharks and seagulls
Wooden debris when hitting pirates
Player blinks when hit (oh those old NES days...)
Secret megashot ability!! (hold space for 3 seconds)
Fullscreen startup option (-f)

Bugfixes:

Cannonball wasn't garbage-collected if it had simply drowned down
< CR >, ^A and other bullshit symbols could be typed in player's name
Exiting "Options" would crash the game if the configuration directory didn't exist.
The music was missing proper tags for artist and song title.
