singaporeis the free, fast, simple, multilingual, template-driven PHP image gallery.

What makes singapore different from the hundreds of other similar scripts is that it was originaly conceived for displaying photographic art in an aesthetically pleasing fashion using a clean, uncluttered interface. Now, though, its powerful templating system allows you to display your images in pretty much any way that takes your fancy.

singapore aims to adhere to the KISS philosophy by including only the features that are actually useful. It does NOT require MySQL or other database programs since all image information is stored in flat text CSV files. However if you do have access to MySQL there is a backend that allows you to use it.

Here are some key features of "singapore":
Flexible modes of operation:—
Can store image info in a MySQL database (fast), or
Can store image info in CSV files on server (no database), or
Can store image info in directory and file names (no setup), or
Can function without any extra image info.
Multi language support (over 25 translations currently available)
Fully template-driven with several templates available for download
Very easy setup
Easy to integrate into existing website
Web based admin to add, delete & edit images and galleries
Automatically generates thumbnails (requires GD or ImageMagick)
Generated thumbnails are cached and statically linked for increased speed
XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0 compatible output only (no JavaScript and no cookies)
Images may be loaded from a different server
Image and gallery viewing statistics
Theoretically unlimited depth of nested sub-galleries
User defined image information such as location taken, camera used etc.
Clear, logical, commented object oriented code makes it easy to modify and customize

Requirements:
PHP
gd (recommended)
ImageMagick (optional)

What's New in This Release:
This release has a new default template, as well as a bundled 'rss' template that turns any singapore gallery into an RSS 2.0 feed.
On the admin side, there is now the ability to copy and move galleries and images.
Other feature enhancements include safe_mode support, nicer URLs, and minor bugfixes.
Internally, there have been many changes.
The code is much more object-oriented, which should make development and customisation simpler and more intuitive in the future.
