glChess is a chess game with 3D OpenGL graphics.

An open-source 3D chess program. It uses openGL and gtkglarea (from GTK+) for the rendering and is designed for use in unix.

It will soon be able to be played over network much like xboard can currently. It has tentative support for computer play. Playable against a human or against "crafty" AI.

Requirements:
gtkglarea >=1.2.x
gtkglext
libtasn1
expat-libs

What's New in This Release:
Asks to save games on exit (stops loaded games from being appended to the autosave).
Registers with Gnome if Gnome libraries installed.
Added Lithuanian and Punjabi translations. Updated other translations.
Fix bug generating OpenGL rendering errors.
Uses a more reliable method for running chess engines that ensures they die if glChess dies.
