Web-based - OpenPSA works fully with any modern web browser, no application installations are required
Centralized - OpenPSA has modules for almost all typical information system needs
Scalable - OpenPSA works for organization sizes up to hundreds of users
International - the suite's user interface is translated to several languages, and the system supports different language encodings like Chinese and Russian
Integrated - Modules in OpenPSA share the same user, customer and document repositories. In addition, OpenPSA is automatically integrated with any Midgard Content Management solutions
Cost efficient - No license fees are needed because of the Open Source model
Supported - Commercial support and customization services for OpenPSA are available from Nemein Oy
Secure - Connections to OpenPSA can be secured with SSL encryption

Requirements:
OpenPSA requires a working installation of the Midgard Framework.

Installation

OpenPSA is distributed as a Repligard package. The package needs to be installed to the root sitegroup (SG0) of a Midgard server. On most systems, this should be accomplished by running

tar jxvf openpsa-1.9.0.tar.bz2
cd openpsa-1.9.0
repligard -a -i openpsa.xml.gz

If the above command fails, please consult Repligard usage documentation and check your Repligard configuration files.

After OpenPSA has been installed to your system it needs to be initialized using the OpenPSA Manager tool at
http://localhost/openpsa_manager/

If you are not accessing the server from console, you can move the OpenPSA Manager to another host by renaming the host in the Midgard database and modifying your midgard-data.conf accordingly.
